The enchanting vineyards, the beautiful country roads that lead to beautiful panoramic points, the paths that cross the woods surrounding Villa Salvador, are the places for beautiful walks by bike. Especially, Cansiglio, the great green lung that develops at about 1000 meters above sea level between Vittorio Veneto and the Alpago, offers the possibility of a beautiful bike ride.

The itinerary starts from the town of Campon, in the north of Cansiglio, and develops around the plateau, clockwise, through suggestive dirt roads immersed in the intact natural environment of the forest. Here, it is easy to meet deer, roe deer and fallow deer, squirrels and birds of prey.

After passing Pian Rosada, you face the first major ascent, which reaches the Candaglia forestry house; you continue through the next slight slope to reach La Crosetta pass and from there, the second climb, on the west side of the plateau, which reaches the Pian dell’Erba and the Cadolten dairy with more steep slopes.

During the climb, the path opens up in the middle of the meadows, offering wonderful views of the plain and the Venice Lagoon. You return then to the woods towards the Street of Taffarel, which cuts across the western slope of the plateau, maintaining a constant altitude, thanks to the winding ups and downs.

Reached Col Mazzuc the mule track begins to descend and becomes paved, arriving at Palughetto and shortly afterwards at Campon. Among the final asphalted hairpin bends, there is no shortage, however, some short and amusing single track variants.
